Airmail version 3.4 is a single installation file that includes
everything needed: Airmail and its weather companions, the Icepac propagation
software, and USB drivers for the SCS modems. The current Airmail version 3.4.062
is well-tested, and works fine
with all versions of Windows from XP onward, both x86 32-bit and 64-bit
Your current Airmail installation can be updated in the same
way as a new installation-- download and install the latest version. Your
settings and messages will not be disturbed. To update a Winlink version to also support
Sailmail, download and install the same Airmail version from this page and install

correctly message, click Ignore or just close that box-- Windows is confused,
Airmail did install correctly.
a Vista/Win7/Win8 installation to Airmail 3.4 from ver 3.3:
messages and data files must be stored under the Program Data folder in order
to avoid security issues. The Airmail ver 3.4 installer will transfer messages and
settings that were stored elsewhere by earlier Airmail versions, including files
which have been hidden i.e. virtualized by Vista s security. If you have a lot
of stored messages this can take a long time, DO NOT terminate the installation
or things will left in a scrambled state with only part of the messages transferred.
Watch this space for Airmail ver 3.5 with support for the new
Airmail for SailMail page for info on using Airmail with both ham and
Propagation: Airmail also includes a propagation window. which uses
the ICEPAC propagation program as a prediction engine. Airmail
3.4 includes the Icepac software, but it must be installed separately for Airmail
3.3, or if the complete Icepac user-interface

Download the zip file for your modem
and extract the firmware-file to the Airmail folder under Program Files or
under ProgramData for Vista or later. Then use Airmail s update firmware window
under the Tools menu to update teh modem.
USB Drivers: Drivers for the PTC-IIusb are included on a
CD included with the modem, available for download from the
SCS website, and included with the Airmail ver
3.4 downloads. If you install Airmail before plugging in the modem, and leave the
Install PTC-IIusb drivers option selected in the Arimail installer, then the drivers
will be pre-installed and the modem will install automatically. Alternately, put
the SCS CD in the computer and plug in the modem, when the New Hardware wizard
appears skip internet searching and select install automatically -- or select a
location and point windows to your downloaded drivers.

The Software is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and treaties.
SUPPORT SERVICES. Because this Software is given as is, HTC may not provide support services for it. If HTC does provide updates, supplements, add-on components or any Internet-based service component to the Software after the date you obtain your initial copy of the Software collectively, Updates, this Agreement will apply to the Updates. If HTC provides additional terms along with any Update, those terms will apply to the Update. HTC reserves the right to discontinue your access to any Internet-based service provided or made available to you through use of the Software. HTC may, at its sole discretion, release subsequent versions of the Software and require you to obtain and use the most current version.
AUTOMATIC UPDATES. HTC may automatically download firmware and Software upgrades to your device s to update, enhance, protect, or further improve your device s and applications. For example, the firmware for your device s and HTC Software features like those described below are enabled by default to connect via the Internet to servers on the Internet and communicate with your computer and other device s automatically, without separate action by you. By using the Software and your device s, you consent to these upgrades and the operation of these features.
a Content Synchronization. The Software settings may allow you to choose to have the Software automatically update the content and other information such as your music, photos, contacts, calendar, bookmarks, and documents etc. on your device s when your device s connect either via wired or wireless connection to your computer. If you choose to have the Software automatically update the content and other information on your device s, you agree that HTC and its suppliers and content providers may download content and other information to your device s.
b Software Updates. You agree that Software may automatically communicate with HTC and its suppliers servers on the Internet to check for Updates to the Software. You agree that HTC may notify you when Updates are available. If you indicate that you want to receive Update s, you agree that HTC or its suppliers may download Update s and install them as part of the Software.
c Firmware Updates. The Software will check HTC s server for firmware updates against your device s which is currently connected or was connected to your computer before. If any updates were available, user would be allowed to update the firmware of the device s via the Software.
d Backup. The Software setting may allow you to backup personal data on the device s such as your music, photos, contacts, calendar, bookmarks, and documents etc., and store them onto a local drive of the computer connected.
e Restore. The Software setting may allow you to restore your personal data such as your music, photos, contacts, calendar, bookmarks, and documents etc. from a chosen backup file stored on your computer.
TERMINATION. This Agreement will automatically terminate upon your breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If terminated, you must immediately destroy all copies of the Software, and the following Sections of this Agreement will survive: Sections 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16.

NO ACTION, REGARDLESS OF FORM, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT MAY BE BROUGHT MORE THAN ONE YEAR AFTER YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE OCCURRENCE WHICH GIVES RISE TO THE CAUSE OF ACTION.

INDEMNIFICATION. You agree to hold harmless, indemnify and defend HTC, its officers, directors and employees, from and against any losses, damages, fines and expenses including attorneys fees and costs arising out of or relating to any claims that you have i viewed, downloaded, encoded, compressed, copied or transmitted any materials other than materials provided by HTC in connection with the Software in violation of another party s rights or in violation of any law, or ii violated any terms of this Agreement. If you are importing the Software from the United States or European Union, you will indemnify and hold HTC and its affiliates harmless from and against any import and export duties or other claims arising from that importation.
RESTRICTED USE. The Software was designed for systems that do not require fail-safe performance. You may not use the Software in any device or system in which a malfunction of the Software would result in foreseeable risk of injury or death to any person. This includes operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation, or communication systems and air traffic control.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION FOR RESOLVING DISPUTES. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods will not apply to this Agreement.

If you acquired the Software in North or South America, you are contracting with HTC America, Inc. and Washington state law governs the interpretation of this Agreement and applies to claims for breach of it, regardless of conflict of laws principles. All other claims, including claims under state consumer protection laws, unfair competition laws, and in tort will be governed by of the state where you live in the U.S.A., or, if you live outside of the U.S.A. but within North or South America, the laws of the country where you live. IF YOU ACQUIRED THE SOFTWARE IN THE U.S.A., WE EACH AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS AND DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT OR ANY ASPECT OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US, WILL BE RESOLVED IN KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON BY BINDING ARBITRATION BY A SINGLE NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR OR, IF THE CLAIM QUALIFIES, IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. Epox motherboards generally overclock quite well, but
seeing as the EP-AF550G is a budget board we re not sure what to expect
this time around. Before the overclocking began, the AMD Athlon64 X2 5000 processor was set to use a 8x multiplier, and the Corsair Twin2X2048-6400C3 memory to run in DDR2-533 MHz mode. This way neither component will hold the Epox AF550G from reaching its best.
Starting at 200 MHz the Epox EP-AF550G motherboard clock
speed was increased in 5 MHz increments. There was absolutely no need to adjust the CPU, chipset or memory voltage during any of our testing. Epox s EP-AF550G hit the motherboard s top speed of 250 MHz with ease, but that is where our tests also had to stop. It s worthwhile to remember that the Epox EP-AF550G is aimed at the entry level market, and is not designed for overclockers.
We would have liked to see higher motherboard clock speed options. but for what the Epox s EP-AF550G offers we are satisfied.
There are certainly lots of DDR2 memory timing adjustments to choose from, if
you re a tweaker you ll no doubt familiarize yourself with all these

at how high the memory bandwidth is, but that s AMD for you.

GeForce 6100 scores poorer as expected, but when a GeForce 7800GTX PCI Express

3DMark06 results mirror that of 3DMark05, the onboard
GeForce 6100 just doesn t have the power to get a good score scoring 183 in the

shaders, shadows, and a dynamic music system are just some of the state
of-the-art features that the CryENGINE offers. The game was set to Ultra quality
and the Ubisoft s Regulator demo was run.
The Epox EP-AF550G Pro s onboard videocard does pretty
well in FarCry remarkably, running the game at about 76FPS if everything is
turned off and run at low resolutions. When a GeForce 7800GTX videocard is
installed, performance jumps to levels close to that of nVIDIA nForce 570/590
Doom 3 takes advantage of the latest videocard technology
and pushes the processing power of the CPU to its absolute limit. At its highest
setting, Ultra quality, texture sizes pass the 500MB mark which means even
tomorrow s videocards will have a hard time running everything. The frame rates
in the game itself are locked at 60 fps so anything above that point is wasted.
Each test is run three times with the third run being recorded.
Doom 3 is not as kind to the onboard GeForce 6100
videocard as the other games have been. While the game does run, frame rates of
18.5FPS are extremely choppy. It s nice to know that you can turn the Epox
EP-AF550G Pro into a decent gaming machine though, by simply installing a full
fledged PCI Express x16 videocard.
is the latest shooter from ID and is based on the Doom 3 engine. Tweaked to for
more eye candy, Quake 4 promises to be tougher on videocards and systems than
its predecessor was. Quake 4 also does not have a 60 fps limiter like Doom 3,
with the Ultra setting, graphic textures can surpass the 500MB mark. Each test
is run three times and with the third run being recorded.
In the final benchmark of the day, Quake 4, the Epox
EP-AF550G Pro does pretty well. The onboard GeForce 6100 videocard handles this
game at about 30FPS, but with a GeForce 7800GTX the system really flies.
The nVIDIA GeForce 6100 series of chipsets have spawned
a very popular class of motherboards, and for good reason. The Geforce 6100
offers up great performance, a ton of integrated features, and comes at a very
low cost. Up until now most GeForce 6100 based motherboards have been the more
compact MicroATX formfactor, so it is nice to see Epox release this platform
which has a few more expansion slots.
